Closed event, please RSVP ahead of time!*
Sunday, May 26th, 10am-9pm
Marrow will be closed all day for the filming of “Open Mic” - a film by PSU student (and drummer of Non Binary Child, who’ve played at Marrow a few times!) Chelcee Bunkley!
Want to be involved?!
They’re still looking for a couple of crew members and extras! There will be plenty of free food! Email Chelcee at firstname.lastname@example.org by May 24th to RSVP if you want to be an extra, and fill out an application if you want to PA!
Queer, Black, POC, first time filmmakers, and youth are especially encouraged to apply!
“Open Mic is a story about understanding different ideas of creativity and putting yourself out there in the setting of a local open mic. It follows Kai as she struggles to understand the differences between who she is and who she wants to be and how it affects the people around her.
It explores themes of LGBTQ+, identity, lesbianism, queerness, internal struggles, creative struggles, learning to appreciate differences and changing perspectives.”
*Marrow enrollment will not be required for this event, but please RSVP with Chelcee as detailed above! Our space (the shop included) will NOT be open today to visitors who aren’t involved with the film, just to keep things quiet for filming. Thanks for understanding!
