Queer Theater Collective Auditions: Love Letters to the World as We Would Have It
Mon, February 11th, 6-9pm
“Audition for the Queer Theatre Collective's spring production of Love Letters to the World as We Would Have It!
Our little theatre collective is holding auditions to find out who will be performing in our first production.
We ask that if you would like to be involved in Love Letters in any capacity (acting, tech, costuming , etc..) that you attend this specific event! If you absolutely can't make it but are committed to being a part of this production, contact River and we'll figure something out.
This will not be a typical audition setting as this is not a typical play. It relies heavily on the connection to the characters and the energy felt between them, by them, and by the audience.
We will be workshopping some scenes and feeling out connections between performers. We will collect feedback from everyone involved, talk it through, and have casting decisions made by the end of the night.
It is important to us that everyone involved is able to be there because those in the space who don't audition for an acting roll will be the ones who collectively make choices about casting.
If you are interested in performing, we ask that you read through the script and/or watch the video of last year's performance (both are in the discussion portion of this event). Be familiar with the characters and have an idea of which roles you feel most at home with.
We are building a collective, and that means we need involvement! Let's break down what theatre means to us and create art that we love and nurture!”
