Garden Work Party!
Free, all ages*
Monday, September 17th, 12-4pm
The majority of the work up to this point on Marrow's garden has been done by our youth (and a small handful of rad adults) who already do a lot of work here, so it would be really great to bring together a group of our adult allies to finish it off the labor for them - so they can enjoy the garden area this fall!!!
We need to:
-Till the soil and remove any remaining ivy in the large area where the ivy was (someone will be renting a tiller).
-Level the large area where the ivy was.
-Weed all the other garden areas.
-Tend to our existing plants/landscaping.
-Get started on building raised beds(?!)
-Take away any yard debris (even just one bag helps)!
Folks are welcome to stay beyond 4pm if you're stoked on what's being accomplished (Marrow will be open until at least 6pm), but we'll plan for the bulk of volunteers to be here between noon and 4pm (come whenever and for however long feels good to you)!
Youth are of course welcome to come lend a hand, direct/oversee tasks, or just hang out inside - we just want to take some of the pressure off ya to complete this project!
*Enrollment is not required for this event. There will be a sign-in sheet.
Enrollment is required for the majority of Marrow programming. For more details check out our enrollment page!
