Mental Health First Aid
$20, all ages, limited to 30 participants*
Saturday March 24th & Sunday March 25th, 11am-4pm
This eight-hour course (broken up into two four hour sessions with breaks, so plan to be here 4.5-5 hours both days) from the National Council of Behavioral Health is aimed at destigmatizing mental health and substance use challenges and providing information to community members that empowers them to help folks in crisis.
Provides a 3 year certification for individuals who are 18+ and complete the course. Please note that only individuals who are 18+ will be able to be certified, but we encourage people of all ages to register, attend, participate, and learn this valuable information! Even if you're a minor, you'll still receive the manual.
PLEASE REGISTER HERE to participate: https://squareup.com/store/marrow
or come by the space to register in-person with cash.
Registration is sliding scale, please contribute what you can.
Registration will be capped at 30 participants. Please register early.
(The fee is to cover the guidebooks, which cost $17. If any additional funding is raised it will be put toward future programming, so we can continue to never turn anyone away for lack of funds.)
The facilitator, Ingry, will also hang around afterwards if anyone wants to discuss a particular topic in-depth or bring up something that wasn't covered.
More info about the course is available here: https://www.mentalhealthfirstaid.org/
*PRE-REGISTRATION required for this event.
Please note that you must attend the entirety of both sessions to be certified.
