Monthly Youth Board Meeting
Last Tuesday of each month, 4-6pm
- Monthly meeting: regular attendance required
Marrow is jointly run by our staff and board of directors - but as a youth centered organization, we value YOUR voice most. We've created this Youth Board to discuss the same types of things we're discussing out our board meetings, but without the obligations and legal responsibilities of being a board member.
Marrow does commit to having 1-2 teens on our board of directors at all times, and this individual(s) will act as liaisons between the two groups.
All high school aged folks are welcome at this first meeting, and may self-select if this is a good fit for you. Please be prepared to share with the group why this is an appealing opportunity for you.
The intent is to remain non-hierarchical, though as the Youth Board grows board positions may develop, as they would with a normal board - it's up to the group. After the first meeting, any young person may come to a meeting, and the group will vote you in (or not) depending on your reasoning for joining (so please give this some thought beforehand)!
The group meets once a month, on the last Tuesday - two weeks before Marrow's monthly board meeting. The meetings are entirely youth-led, but one adult board member will be present to answer any questions or give any assistance.
*Members and folks enrolled seasonally can ignore program pricing. All young folks preteen - early 20’s participating in Marrow programming must enroll - for more details check out our enrollment page!
