Crafting & Creating for Mental Health: Embroidery

Crafting & Creating for Mental Health

Every other Friday 4-7pm

$5 for a la carte teens (free for students/members)*
$7 for adults (last Friday of the month is all ages)

-- This week is embroidery! Feel free to bring anything you'd like to embroider on (it just has to be fabric - you could even do canvas shoes!) or we'll have scrap fabric and canvas for you to use! --

Do you sometimes feel bummed, uncreative, or unproductive? This ongoing workshop series will look at the benefits of keeping your hands busy and producing things as a way to cope with depression, anxiety, and other common mental health struggles.

We will explore LOW PRESSURE (ie: you don't need to be an "artist" to do them) mediums, including bookbinding, carving, coloring, and a few forms of weaving/braiding/embroidering - plus whatever y'all think of or want to share!

You don't need to stay for the full 3 hours, but please try to arrive close to 4pm out of respect for whoever is sharing their skill.

Come to a single workshop or come regularly!

*All teens participating in Marrow programming must register as "a la carte", "student", or "member" - for more details check out our registration page! You can register online in advance, or at Marrow. Please note: no teen will ever be turned away from Marrow for lack of funds.
