Call for Tattoo Artists

Art by TATTOOERS! Everyone is welcome at the opening/party! We want to thank the community that's supported us this year, celebrate our incredible youth community, and introduce new folks to our space!

The tattoo community has been so supportive this year - perhaps because y'all can see a bit of yourselves in our youth. So now want to see a bit of you on our WALLS!

Any medium - illustrations, flash sheets, doodles on napkins, paintings, skateboard decks, t-shirts that've been drawn on with bleach pen, tattooed pigs feet in specimen jars - you do you. 2D pieces can be originals or prints, and we'd love to have a range of value so the work is accessible to both our larger donors and our youth!

The opening will be at our 1 Year Anniversary Party on Friday, March 23rd, 6-9pm!
Check out the FB event here.

The deadline for artwork to be AT Marrow is March 15th.

At Marrow! 7025 N Lombard.
(There will also be a smaller after-party for the 21+ crowd, location tbd).

*If you're shipping your work please don't send it to this address! Fill out the contribution form and we'll contact you with a shipping address if ya need to ship!

In 2016 Marrow led art workshops out of a converted garage.

In 2017 - in our new space - we hosted youth produced hip hop shows, led workshops ranging from gender education to poetry to activism in art, held mini fundraisers for other rad local organizations like Queer Rock Camp, sold hundreds of dollars of youth artwork in our shop (and passed 100% of the proceeds on to them), and just last month we had our first art show in our new gallery space - complete with beautiful flooring installed by the Roosevelt High School construction class!

That seems worthy of celebration! We need to raise some funds so we can keep it up!

We're asking you to donate the work, because Marrow is still very short on our 2018 operational budget of $40,000. Having our operational expenses covered is what allows us to offer our space and programming affordably (or in most cases, free) to any young person who comes through our door. Marrow is currently entirely volunteer-run, so operational expenses just cover our rent, utilities, insurance, etc.

So, are you a tattoo artist!?
