#MarrowPDXWrites Day 5

Rescue me.

                   She was begging

                   Clawing at the

Non-existent hands

Round her throat.

Why won’t you help me?

She was crying

The palpitations of

Her heart in her

Chest nearly drowning

at the

Sound.

Don’t I deserve to be saved?

She was blank.

Skin turning translucent,

Lips taking a blueish hue, eyes,

Bloodshot.

Won’t you help me?

She was threatening,

Holding me in her

Hand

Still blank

Still begging the

Question.

Now her hands

Find solace around my

Throat.

Now my heart

Palpitates

Slamming against ribs in a painful

Why won’t you help me?

Now I am crying,

Eyes forcing themselves out of

Sockets.

Frail hands secure themselves

around the

Stable post of my nape.

Why didn’t you save me?
