Young Creative Entrepreneurs

Marrow's shop offers the opportunity for young folks (10-24) to sell their work - whether that's prints, patches, cds, jewelry, poetry chapbooks, original drawings, pottery, bath bombs, candles, zines, tshirts... for 100% of the proceeds - but we've had a lot of youth tell us that they DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE TO START!

This is fair. One of the many things that school seems to fail to prepare us for is surviving capitalism. It isn't always easy, but it is possible to make money from your passions (and to do so without feeling like you're "selling out").

So we've decided to put together an ongoing workshop series called "Young Creative Entrepreneurs" - where we'll bring rad Portland creatives in to share what they know about branding, pricing your work, getting prints, stickers, or other products made of your designs, selling your work online, and anything else you'd like to know.

Want to get involved?

If you'd like to participate, come to our first informal gathering on March 11th, where we'll discuss what everyone wants to learn, plus other possibilities for the group (we could put on a youth night market? other pop up events?).

If you're an adult with experience or expertise in this area that you'd like to share - get in touch! We want the individual workshops to be as specific and varied as possible, so let's brainstorm!
